#ELBlog #151: Choices
Choices. We all have choices. This has been an extremely challenging time for many, with all different circumstances and moving parts of our challenges. My heart goes out to those who have lost a loved one, their jobs, careers etc. So many dreams and avenues have been derailed, postponed, twisted etc. With all of that, I was inspired and invigorated on January 7 when I interviewed The Burned In Teacher, Amber Harper. Learn more about Amber and her message everywhere at Burned in Teacher. (https://www.burnedinteacher.com/) She said a lot of great things in her interview and has an amazing story, yet the one that resonated with me was about choices.
Despite all of the circumstances, we all have the power to react. We have the ability and the choice to be positive, to take care of ourselves, and to think about our reactions to others and these extremely challenging scenarios. Check out this clip below where the burned in teacher talks about choices:
As we continue to move through our days, and hopefully start to see the end of this pandemic, let’s choose to lead. Let’s choose to love, let’s choose to do good for others. This pandemic has brought out the ugly in so many ways, especially in the political unrest coming to a head with the storming of the capital on January 6. I was disgusted by that action and all associated with it. Yet the next day and for days and weeks after I think it is important to talk about the strength of our country, the hearts of our people, and the goodness in mankind. I chose to focus on hope, to hold on, possibilities exist. Yes, it is an acronym. Keep making choices that are good and healthy for your own life as well as those that you serve. A good and healthy you is good and healthy for others as well.
If I can help you on this journey in any way please don’t hesitate to reach out? Let me know your thoughts on choices, do you agree? Can we all continue to make choices like I wrote about in this blog? I believe so and I wish you the best in your journey #KeepRolling
