I was always interested in those little figurines that say when you put them in warm water they will grow up to 600 times their size. Now, since my kids are little, whenever we stop at one of those little shops, I buy them and we like to watch them expand in the warm water together. I never felt that they actually grew to 600 times their original size, but I still enjoy doing it with the kids
But how could something grow 600 times its size? That seems impossible and unreasonable. A little bit bigger yes, but 600 times? I started to think about real people, and real changes in our lives. Can we actually become 600 times better in our lives or 600 times stronger? Absolutely not, but we can become one or two times stronger! We can look to grow each day and we can make incremental changes and improvements in our lives.
It is an unrealistic thing to look at trying to become 600 times bigger, better, faster, or stronger. But we can have the mindset of growing, even just a little bit each and every day. We can learn something new and show kindness each and every day. If we continue to do those things, our growth will compound. After a period of time, you could have outstanding growth, but it is not happening in 24 hrs.
Whatever it is in your life that you are looking to achieve, it can’t be done by jumping in warm water and having an unrealistic growth of 600 times more. But you can grow each and every day. You can do a little bit a lot of the time to make those changes you are hoping for. My friend Dr. Gilbert always says, if you read and research one hour a day, you will become an expert in that area.
600 times greater? No, I don’t think so. A little bit each day, yes. Try to throw this in your toolbox and hopefully it will help you reach your goals. If I could help you in any way, don’t hesitate to reach out at @andrewmarotta21 (https://twitter.com/andrewmarotta21) on Twitter.
