I really enjoyed my time with the great Ed Rush. Ed is a long-time NBA official who has worked 32 NBA finals in his tenure. That is an amazing run. I had him on my podcast back in the fall of 2022 and he shared so much knowledge and experience. It was a fascinating conversation.
You can view/listen to the #ELB podcast here (https://bit.ly/ELBEdRush) . Many things that he shared really stuck with me, but one of them in particular was his “each one. reach one” concept, mindset. He talked about mentorship and the group he runs, the Court Club Elite. This is a training and mentorship, leadership program for Officials. Each one, reach one.
Think about that concept. Imagine if your organization, school, or group all had that mentality. Making those connections and helping other people? It sounds like such a simple and achievable goal. It doesn’t tell you how or when, just a simple concept of reaching another person, and helping them on their journey.
Each one, reach one. I’m going to put this in my toolbox, and to continue to find innovative and creative ways to reach others.
Best to you on your journey, and if I can help reach you or your organization, please let me know. Keep surviving and thriving.
