From my home in Milford, Pennsylvania I’m able to see some beautiful sunrises over the horizon during the winter months. During the summer months, however, when the trees are full of leaves, it’s not visible.
Through the trees? What is beyond, when we look at what’s in front of us. I’m currently reading The Obstacle Is the Way and I’m recognizing that there are so many obstacles in our lives. Why do some people get past them so easily, while others don’t? We all have obstacles. It is just that some of us are able to look through the trees or go beyond those obstacles to see and get to where we want to be.
The sunrise is through the trees, and we need to think not only about what is directly in front of us, but what is beyond. So what are some strategies that can help us look through the trees and towards the bright spots?
Here are a few things that come to mind:
* Have a this too shall pass mentality. With patience and time and with a focused mindset things will improve for you.
* Ask yourself not why I can’t see through the trees, but how I can see through the trees. Figure out the strategies and you will get there.
* Who is somebody who can help you see through the trees? Maybe somebody can give a helping hand or put you in a different location to get you where you need to be.
* Work at it and stay the course. Day one you might not be able to see these trees, day two you might not be able to see through the trees, day three, and so on. It’s the concept of boiling water. Water boils at 212°F. You heat it, and heat it, and heat it but nothing happens. But finally then when it hits 212°F steam rises and the water boils. Keep working at it and you’ll get to where you want to be.
May you enjoy the view through the trees, as well as the beautiful mornings and hopeful horizons. If I can help you in any way don’t hesitate to reach out at @andrewmarotta21 (https://twitter.com/andrewmarotta21) on Twitter. Keep rolling friends.
