I love meeting new guests and having different leaders on my podcast, “Education Leadership and Beyond.” I recently interviewed Dr. Jeffry Prickett from Illinois. Jeff is a Principal, father of eight, podcast host, and author. He is accomplishing an incredible amount, with many obligations to meet.
Jeff was great on the podcast. One thing in particular that caught my attention was his action steps. We all have goals, dreams, and wants. Things we want to accomplish and do. Many of us talk about these things, but it is the action steps that put these things into plan. It’s the action steps that get things moving, help you start and eventually achieve your goal.
What holds us back? Why do we stop taking steps sometimes? How come we don’t always achieve what it is that we set out to do?
Things will always be challenging, yet it is the steps that are most important. Start taking the steps towards what it is that you want to accomplish.
I love the mindset from Dr. Rob Gilbert and the Success Hotline: “Don’t quit, can’t fail.”
Begin those action steps with the mindset of “don’t quit, can’t fail” and you will be on your way.
Thanks Jeff for reminding me to take action steps to achieve my goals. If I can help you in any way don’t hesitate to reach out at @andrewmarotta21 (http://twitter.com/andrewmarotta21) on Twitter. Keep rolling friends, keep surviving and thriving.
