BOO! Happy Halloween friends! Enjoy the holiday and the excitement of the kids. I always loved seeing the joy of children dressing up, getting candy, and trying to scare people.
As people are trying to scare us today, I reflected on what are the things that scare me. What are the things that I’m trying to protect in my life?
I’ve always been that guy who screams out loud when something or someone jumps out from behind the door or startles me. Haunted houses are pretty much a no-go for me.
Those things are out there for all of us. What are the things you are afraid of in your life and how can you overcome those fears? Maybe it’s speaking in public or making a mistake at school. Many of us don’t do the thing that we’re curious about or want to try because we’re afraid. Here on this Halloween holiday, I urge you to push forward. Apply for that position, put in that submission to present at a conference, or do that thing that you’ve been holding back from because you’re afraid.
Fear of rejection and fear of failure is natural. It’s okay to feel that way. It’s what you do with the response that matters most. I urge you to push forward through those fears and tell yourself that you are good enough. Dr. Gilbert has said many times on Success Hotline that you only need one key to unlock the castle! Happy Halloween friends!
I wish you the best on your journey and keep rolling!
