I walked into the bathroom, the other day at the high school in my school district in Port Jervis, New York. There were a bunch of teenage boys in there. Typically when there’s a group of boys in there, you right away go to something bad is happening. Are the kids smoking? Vaping? Using illegal substances? Fighting? etc. In this case, it was just a group of boys who came from the weight room and were checking out their muscles. They literally were flexing their muscles in the mirror.
I actually joined them, and rocked a couple of bicep flexes as well! They laughed, and we all had a chuckle. They went back to the weight room to pump some more iron. See ya Marotta, they finally said.
As I left and walked to the hallway, I questioned myself. Why do I always go to the negative? Why do I always think something bad is happening? It was just a group of boys, being young men, and checking out their muscles.
When you look for the good in situations many times you find it. I was happy to see that the boys were doing something good and not something bad. There’s a lot of good out there just continue to look for it.
Keep rolling friends keep surviving and thriving. What good is happening around you? Please share.
