I had an amazing time leading and speaking at the Utah Association of Elementary School Principals Conference in February 2024.
This group of amazing school leaders work very hard to do the best for their schools and communities every single day.
I had a little time for a run on a trail near the conference venue in beautiful St. George, UT. It was a beautiful winter day and the temperature was in the 60’s. There were majestic mountains all around us, and I just couldn’t take my eyes off them. So much so that I almost ran into a boulder as I was staring at the amazing view.
It got me thinking about the goals in our lives and the things we want to accomplish. How we keep working to be the person that we want to be and accomplish the goals that we set forth?
Make those goals so you can’t take your eyes off them. Make them so they are in the forefront of your mind just like the beautiful view that day in St. George. I couldn’t take my eyes off those mountains, that view! If you’re constantly looking at your goals, thinking about them, and taking action on them, you will do it! Keep them in your vision. Make your goals so visible, so you can’t take your eyes off them.
