It was time again for my youngest daughter, Tessa, to get new cleats. Tessa, her friend, and I went to the store to check out the styles. I’m NOT of the expensive cleat-buying type. Some can run upwards of almost $300, which is insane for kids whose feet are still growing. She’s also tough on shoes, so we’re looking for a deal.
As we were headed to Dick’s Sporting Goods, I saw there was a Dick’s outlet nearby.
We stopped, and they had a tremendous amount of cleats at great prices. As the girls began to try them on, they noticed that some fit weirdly, or it seemed like the sizing was off. We determined that they must be off or the cleats had imperfections. I described this phenomenon to Tessa, that there’s probably an imperfection or something wrong with them and her response was they’re perfect for me!

I loved it. She didn’t worry that there might be something wrong with them because they fit her. The fit is what mattered to her.
This reminded me that we’re all a little different. One person might think the cleats are of lesser value, or they don’t want them because there’s something wrong with them. I loved Tessa’s mindset and answer: They’re perfect for me.
Remember this on your journey: not one size fits all, and what one person doesn’t like, another might love. Variety is the spice of life. Keep a wide lens and a wide view of things.
I wish you the best on your journey and hope you find the right fit! If I can help you, don’t hesitate to reach out. Keep surviving and thriving friends.
