I love meeting incredible people on my podcast.
I am so fortunate and grateful to have interviewed people from all different walks of life who are doing unique and incredible things on their journeys.
One of those people is Honoree Corder. She was awesome. She’s an author (65 books!) and a book expert! You can learn more here: https://honoreecorder.com/ You can listen to our podcast here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F47hm7cSy0E
She shared on her journey that she has been leaving five-star reviews for fellow authors. I also started doing this to support other local authors and books that have made a great impact on my life.
The more I did this, the more I began to think about how important reviews are for others, both good and bad. The world we live in, with electronic shopping, dinner reservations, purchasing, reviews, word-of-mouth, and more, is still rooted in an old-school tradition that has a deep and powerful impact on people.
My wife, my family, and I, have all started to be more mindful, and are leaving more positive reviews for others in the service industry. Whether it is with airlines, restaurants, car rentals, hotels, etc, those providing a valuable service to others who do a good job should be recognized, and we all have the ability to do this in the palm of our hand. Google reviews are so easy to do and are helpful to other people. They help promote businesses and individuals in their field, attracting more valuable customers and status in their organization.

My only pledge is to do it for positive experiences only. Sure, I’ve had negative experiences, just like anyone else, but I will not leave a negative review. Positive reviews only. Maybe the person you interacted with was having a bad day, or maybe there was a substitute server, or something else. I don’t know the circumstances of why my experience might have been bad, so I will not leave a negative review.
If this is something you do for others, great! Keep it up. If it’s not something you do regularly, give it a try. It is not only helpful to that person, but it also helps others. You’ll feel good about making a positive connection with someone else!
It’s all about making a positive impact on others! Keep surviving and thriving, friends.
