I love traveling and visiting amazing small towns across the United States. You learn so much and meet so many incredible people. I recently visited my good friend Superintendent Casey Hallgarth, and the Baker Bulldogs in beautiful Baker City, Oregon.
Whenever I’m on the West Coast, my body and mind are still on East Coast time, so I was up by 4 AM and walking outside at 5 AM. It was still extremely dark out and quite chilly, so I took it to the main street where it was a little more lit. On this particular morning, there was one of those giant moons in the sky. It was so bright it looked like a spotlight in the sky. There was no cloud cover and the amazing bright moon lit up the walkways, and the dark side streets.
I didn’t even need my cell phone light to see where I was going. I loved it. It totally made for a great experience.

It got me thinking about the concept of making positive things in your life so bright it blocks out the dark. There’s so much negativity out there , and it’s true that when you look for positive things you’ll find positive things.
When you are around negativity constantly, or have news on the tv that focuses on the negative you tend to move towards the negative. Like the famous quote says, make the positive so bright it drowns out the darkness.
What are the positives in your life that can help you shine, and what are some of the things that you are trying to move away from that are negative in your life? Keep shining friends! This bright moon light paved the way for a wonderful, POSITIVE, day. Let your light shine friends.

Thanks again to the Baker Bulldogs for having me at their school district!
