I am currently reading The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John Maxwell — and in it, there is a passage titled “Dream Big.” (author unknown). I loved it! Check it out here:
Dream Big
If there were ever a time to dare,
To make a difference,
To embark on something worth doing,
It is NOW.
Not for any grand cause, necessarily–
But for something that tugs at your heart,
Something that is your aspiration,
Something that is your dream.
You owe it to yourself to make your days here count.
Have fun.
Dig deep.
Stretch.
Dream big.
Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy.
There will be good days.
And there will be bad days.
There will be times when you want to turn around,
Pack it up, and call it quits.
Those times tell you that you are pushing yourself,
That you are not afraid to learn by trying.

So I leave you with these questions: What is tugging at your heart? What is your big dream? Go for it!
This passage jumped off the pages and seemed to knock me in the head. It pushed on my heart and tugged on my soul. It made me want to jump out of bed and go do that next great thing—That next book or that next presentation. I found it so inspirational.
It moved me deeply. John Maxwell didn’t write the poem, and the author is unknown but wow, what an impact.
What is that ‘dream ‘BIG’ moment for you? Can we make time in our lives each day to dream big and then put on paper what we want to do?
For me, I have found great joy and immense satisfaction by impacting my Port Jervis school community, educational leaders, business leaders, athletic directors, writings, and PPC coaching.
I think about this dream often and work at it early in the mornings. I get up early to create more content, make more connections and impact more lives.
It invigorates me and inspires me to continue to want to do more and dream big.

Life is no brief candle; it is a splendid torch!
I challenge those present in the room at the presentations to continue to make the torch burn brightly in their own lives, and for those of their circles— and today, I challenge you!
I leave that with this: What is your big dream and what makes your torch burn brightly?
